Poetic Words :: Bit By A Dog

Bit by a dog,
it went to my head...
Sickend was I,
and soon wound up dead.

Take Me to the Hospital

I have to pose this question.

What would you do if you went into work one morning and there were only you and one other person and that person came to you and asked you to take him to the hospital?

This is not a poem but a serious question. Over the next couple days I will reveal more about the circumstances but am quite interested in your initial reaction.

Drum beat slowly
Drum beat fast
Drum beats in my head
the cymbals go crash
bang the drum when I depart
bang the drum when I arrive
bang the drum loudly
Let us know we are alive.

Poetic Words :: Posting 6

Monkeys in my pocket jump round and like to play,
This one likes to smoke a lot and that one's slightly gay,
They climb on knees and chew on toes,
They dance in circles inside my clothes,
There are monkeys in my pocket almost every night and day,
There are monkeys in my pocket - won't they ever go away?

For best results, use on a hard surface.
Its the gift that gives back.
No whining.
Soda guy, call Wednesday.
Bore through the piece of wood.
Hits the ball and keeps running.
Slow but steady he wins the race.
Mocha in the morning will make you fat.

I ate the fly,
Do you think I will die?
The fly flew in my eye,
It sat on my arm,
It sat on my toe,
And soon on its marry way did go.

Poetic Words :: Posting 3

Red flowers on a notepad. Sunshine reflecting off my
spectacles... the bird pecks on the window.

Mold on the wall outside the doorway.
Blinded by the light of day now.

Twenty-two hours awake and not dreaming.
My home beckons and I must go.

I noticed something quite hysterical. When writing poetry on random
things, the context based ads tend to be very amusing.

Poetic Words :: Posting 2

The day was cow appreciation day
appreciate the cows - you say?
Yes, cow appreciation day
Say moo to you and moo to you
to honor our four legged friends that taste so good
and thank them for their sacrifice
for today's the day
What's that you say?
Today is cow appreciation day.

Cow appreciation day is July 14th - yes, I know it is a couple days late.

Poetic Words :: Posting 1

Why am I doing this? Just because. Not much to say, really, but a good practice to write.

The day is gray
the clouds are thick
The rain comes down
I hear it drip
from the roof
onto the ground
the rain is here
and it comes down.
